01/02/2024   9.00 - 13.00  Blashford North   Bramble runners and debris, left on paths and verges from hedge trimming/strimming, removed where necessary. Leaf blowing of paths at the end of these activities would be useful. Probably old news but a bench has been 'thrown' over the hedge on the north side of the path immediately before Lapwing hide. Closure notices on gates at the Goosander crossing removed and returned to the Centre.

Good bird sightings at Lapwing and Goosander this morning. Birds well scattered across north end of Ibsley. Amongst the usual, pintail, widgeon, shoveler, gadwall, coot etc were a pair of golden eye displaying! and a great white egret.  Goosander x14 seen in front of Goosander hide. Black necked grebes at Tern hide.

  1. Some nice sightings there, thanks Jacki! A pair of oystercatcher have been calling and displaying well in front of tern hide also.

Harry said he's been up to clear the paths after recent clearance works and retrieved the bench.
