19th February 2025. Spinnaker Lake east, north and west shores
Starting with a survey of the islands from the west shore, no sign of Oystercatcher activity as yet but reasonable numbers of Tufted Duck, Gadwall, Wigeon, Coots and Canada Goose. On the east side I came across some pretty chaotic barbled wire, mostly of which was on the ground around what appeared to be an old junction in the fencing (W3W kilowatt.including.mime). There was also a strand of wire from the junction and reaching into the reserve at right angles. I really couldn't work out the purpose of this. This 'wandering' barbed wired would easily trip people and cause injury. Have attached some pics.
Also noted some healthy patches of Wild Daffodil.
